Important information for EU/EEA/UK Consumer Customers: This Home Networking Limited Warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, limit or exclude, any statutory rights and remedies available to you under applicable consumer laws, including the legal guarantee of conformity and if applicable the right to a price reduction or a full refund where repair or replacement is not possible or not carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. EU/EEA/UK Consumer Customers are not subject to product registration requirements under their consumer statutory rights.
How Consumer Law Relates to this Warranty
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state, province, or country.
Other than as permitted by law, NETGEAR does not exclude, limit or suspend other rights you have, including those that may arise from the nonconformity of a sales contract. For a full understanding of your rights you should consult the laws of your state, province, or country.
Warranty Limitations Subject to Consumer Law
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty and the remedies set forth are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express or implied. Netgear disclaims all statutory and implied warranties, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and warranties against hidden or latent defects, to the extent permitted by law. In so far as such warranties cannot be disclaimed, NETGEAR limits the duration and remedies of such warranties to the duration of this express warranty and, at NETGEAR's option, the repair or replacement services described below. Some states (countries and provinces) do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty (or condition) may last, so the limitation described above may not apply to you.

What the NETGEAR Warranty Covers
NETGEAR warrants its products contained in their original packaging against defects in material and workmanship when the products are used normally for their intended purposes. This warranty only applies to any NETGEAR products you have purchased from an authorized NETGEAR reseller.
All NETGEAR warranties (as opposed to statutory guarantees or non-excludable statutory warranties), including any implied warranties, are valid only for the period of time the NETGEAR product is owned by the “original purchaser” of the product. The “original purchaser,” for the purposes of this warranty, is the first purchaser of the product from NETGEAR or a NETGEAR authorized reseller. All NETGEAR limited warranties, including lifetime warranties, are not transferable.
Duration of the NETGEAR Warranty
All NETGEAR limited warranties begin on the date of purchase. PLEASE RETAIN A COPY OF YOUR RECEIPT AS PROOF OF PURCHASE. The duration of the limited warranty will vary depending upon the NETGEAR product you bought. Please see the product detail pages on netgear.com to determine the warranted period for your specific NETGEAR product.
Refurbished Product Warranty. NETGEAR warrants to the purchaser of a refurbished product purchased from www.netgear.com or an authorized reseller that, if the purchaser registers the refurbished device online with NETGEAR, the device will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase ("Refurbished Product Warranty"). The exclusions and limitations set forth in this warranty apply equally to the Refurbished Product Warranty. For EU/EEA/UK Consumer Customers, this Refurbished Product Warranty is without prejudice to any statutory rights and remedies available under applicable consumer laws.
What Is Not Covered by the NETGEAR Warranty
Our policy is to offer product warranties and to perform services only on products purchased from an authorized NETGEAR reseller and only accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. If you purchase a NETGEAR product from an unauthorized reseller or if the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced or altered, this NETGEAR warranty will not be valid.
Unfortunately, there are some websites and dealers who claim to be authorized NETGEAR resellers but are not. Products sold on these websites or from these dealers do not carry a warranty from NETGEAR. When you purchase products from an unauthorized website or dealer, you are taking a risk because these products may be counterfeit, used, defective, or may not be designed for use in your country. Please protect yourself and your NETGEAR product by ensuring that you only purchase NETGEAR products from an authorized reseller. If you have any questions about authorized resellers, please visit our website.
This warranty does not apply if the NETGEAR product fails due to damage from shipment, handling, storage, accident, abuse or misuse, or if it has been used or maintained in a manner not conforming to product manual instructions, has been modified in any way, or has had any serial number removed or defaced. For NETGEAR products that can use replaceable batteries, use of only high-quality, non-counterfeit, and non-rechargeable batteries is recommended. In these products, the use of rechargeable batteries or inferior-quality batteries that cause damage to your NETGEAR product will void this warranty. Repair or modification of the product by anyone other than NETGEAR or a NETGEAR approved agent will void this warranty.
How to Obtain Warranty Service
To obtain warranty service under this NETGEAR warranty, your NETGEAR product must be within the warranted period, as set forth above, and it must be registered. To submit a claim:
Obtain an RMA number by contacting NETGEAR technical support by phone, chat or email by visiting our Help Center at www.netgear.com/support. You can also call support directly at (888) 638-4327.
- Return (at your shipping cost) the failed product to the address provided by NETGEAR technical support.
- Provide NETGEAR with proof of the original date of purchase.
NETGEAR will not accept collect shipments for warranty service, but replacement products will be returned to you at NETGEAR’s cost after completing the above three steps. Goods presented for repair may be replaced by refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished or used parts may be used to repair the goods. If NETGEAR, by its sole determination, is unable to replace the defective product, it will refund the depreciated purchase price of the product.
IF YOUR NETGEAR PRODUCT IS CAPABLE OF STORING SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA AND OTHER INFORMATION, YOU SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA TO PROTECT THE CONTENTS AND AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE OPERATIONAL FAILURES. DURING WARRANTY SERVICE OR ANY OTHER TECHNICAL SUPPORT IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE CONTENTS OF THE NETGEAR PRODUCT’S STORAGE MEDIA WILL BE LOST, REPLACED OR REFORMATTED. IN SUCH AN EVENT NETGEAR AND ITS AGENTS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE STORAGE MEDIA OR ANY OTHER PART OF THE NETGEAR PRODUCT SERVICED.
NETGEAR’s Responsibilities
If you fulfill your obligations under “How to Obtain Warranty Service” above, NETGEAR will replace your product with the same or functionally equivalent product, at its discretion, free of charge (except for shipping charges as provided above).
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN THIS WARRANTY AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NETGEAR IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES RESULTING FROM USE OR MALFUNCTION OF NETGEAR PRODUCTS, COMPROMISE OR CORRUPTION OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, COSTS OF REPLACEMENT GOODS OR COSTS OF RECOVERING, PROGRAMMING, OR REPRODUCING ANY PROGRAM OR DATA STORED IN OR USED WITH THE NETGEAR PRODUCT, EVEN IF NETGEAR IS INFORMED IN ADVANCE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTHING IN THIS WARRANTY SHALL EXCLUDE OR LIMIT NETGEAR'S LIABILITY FOR (A) DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY RESULTING FROM NETGEAR'S NEGLIGENCE, (B) FRAUD, OR (C) ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING APPLICABLE CONSUMER LAWS.
SOME STATES (OR COUNTRIES OR PROVINCES) DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. FOR EU/EEA/UK CONSUMER CUSTOMERS, THE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS SET OUT ABOVE ARE SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE CONSUMER LAWS AND DO NOT AFFECT ANY STATUTORY RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED.
AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMERS
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS WARRANTY IS IN ADDITION TO ANY STATUTORY RIGHTS IN AUSTRALIA IN RELATION TO YOUR GOODS WHICH, PURSUANT TO THE AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW, CANNOT BE EXCLUDED. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
EU/EEA/UK CONSUMER CUSTOMERS
FOR EU/EEA/UK CONSUMER CUSTOMERS, THIS WARRANTY IS IN ADDITION TO ANY STATUTORY RIGHTS UNDER APPLICABLE CONSUMER LAWS, INCLUDING THE LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY, WHICH CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED. If you are a Consumer Customer in the EU/EEA/UK, the legal provisions relating to your statutory rights regarding the legal guarantee of conformity for products in the event of lack of conformity shall apply. You will have a period of two (2) years (unless your statutory rights provide a longer period) from the delivery of the product to obtain the implementation of the legal guarantee of conformity in the event of a lack of conformity. During this period, you are only required to establish the existence of the lack of conformity and not the date on which it appeared. The legal guarantee of conformity entitles you to repair or replacement of the product within thirty (30) days of your request, at no cost and without major inconvenience to you. If repair or replacement is not possible or is not carried out within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you may obtain a price reduction or a full refund. These statutory rights are not subject to any registration requirement or to the conditions set out in this warranty regarding the Limited Device Warranty or Refurbished Product Warranty. Nothing in this warranty shall exclude or limit these statutory rights.
For UK Consumer Customers, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are unaffected by this warranty, including but not limited to the right that goods, digital content, and services conform to the contract. You can bring claims against NETGEAR in the English courts and, if you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring claims in the courts of the country you reside in.
For residents of France, you benefit from the statutory warranty of conformity for products and the warranty against hidden defects. The legal guarantee of conformity implies an obligation for NETGEAR to provide all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the product. If the product is repaired within the scope of the legal guarantee of conformity, you benefit from a six (6) month extension of the initial warranty. If you request repair of the product but NETGEAR requires you to replace it, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for a period of two (2) years from the date of replacement. You also benefit from the legal warranty against hidden defects pursuant to articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code, for a period of two (2) years from the discovery of the defect. These rights result from the application of Articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the Consumer Code.

Subject to any statutory rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law, United States consumer law, or applicable statutory rights under EU/EEA/UK consumer laws, to the fullest extent otherwise permitted by law and except as specifically provided in this document, the warranties and remedies in this warranty agreement are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, express or implied. Any and all other warranties are expressly excluded.
General
This warranty will be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the country in which the NETGEAR product purchase took place. For EU/EEA Consumer Customers, this warranty and the relationship between you and NETGEAR shall be governed by the law of the country where you reside, and you will benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you are a resident. For UK Consumer Customers, this warranty shall be governed by the law of England and Wales.
